Research Scientist (APS 6 – EL 1) – Ongoing
Salary: $91,944 – $129,379 per annum
Duties:- Conduct outcome-focused fisheries research.
- Maintain expertise and peer recognition in fisheries science, including through targeted papers to relevant domestic and international fora and publications in the peer-reviewed literature.
- Effectively communicate research outputs to scientists, industry, fisheries management, and environmental NGOs.
- Contribute to productive and effective links nationally and internationally with other scientists, and relevant industry, policy and management bodies.
- Represent Australia at CCAMLR meetings as required.
- Seek external resources to support and enhance high priority strategic research.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Contribute to a safe and healthy workplace, complete required training, and be proactive in contributing positively to safety management and workplace culture.
