Executive Level 2 (EL 2) – Ongoing
Salary: $146,942 – $170,725 per annum
Duties:- Lead the planning, management and delivery of the Macquarie Island Station Project, ensuring outcomes align with departmental objectives and government priorities.
- Provide strategic direction and expert advice to senior executives, stakeholders and governance bodies on project scope, progress, risk, and compliance.
- Oversee project governance, including budget control, procurement, risk management, and reporting in accordance with Commonwealth policies and frameworks.
- Manage high-performing, multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration, accountability and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Coordinate external consultants and contractors, ensuring work is delivered to scope, time and quality standards, particularly in complex and remote conditions.
- Engage with stakeholders, including state and Commonwealth agencies, to negotiate, consult and maintain support for project outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, building and heritage regulations, including the coordination of necessary approvals and proactive management of risks.
- Represent the department in high-level forums, stakeholder meetings, and public engagements related to the project.
- Lead effective communication strategies, providing high-quality written and verbal briefings, reports and ministerial correspondence.
- Support broader divisional goals, contributing to strategic planning, cultural leadership, and future capability development.
