Salary: $84,794 – $93,020 per annum
Duties:Reporting to the Assistant Director of Expeditioner Capability and Training (ECT), the Learning Technology Officer supports a broad range of specialised learning technology systems.
You will provide systems and learning support to a range of stakeholders, including expeditioners, internal AAD staff, and external affiliates. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams and technology vendors to ensure the successful delivery of the AAP expeditioner training program. Your role will involve implementing and supporting robust processes and learning technology systems to capture expeditioner training compliance.
Your role is crucial in ensuring expeditioners complete mandatory training requirements prior to departure, whilst also ensuring the AAD meets regulatory requirements. You will also provide support to stakeholders who rely on the TMS to assist with season planning, resource allocation, and rostering activities.
General responsibilities include:
- Support: Provide support for learning technology systems, including the Training Management System (TMS), Learning Management System (LMS), system integrations, and online course development software.
- Compliance: Ensure regulatory and AAD training requirements are met by implementing and monitoring robust processes and championing the adoption of the Learning Technology across the AAD.
- Projects: Co-ordinate learning technology system projects, implementations, changes, and integrations by working in collaboration with vendors, internal stakeholders, and the department’s ICT teams.
- Advice: Provide technical advice to ECT management and contribute to learning technology roadmap planning.
- Vendor Management: Maintain good working relationships with technology vendors whilst co-ordinating support and maintenance agreements.
- Training: Deliver learning systems training to key stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Support expeditioners through the completion of mandatory, online learning.
- Ensure expeditioner training profiles align with role requirements.
- Implement robust process and monitoring activities to adequately capture expeditioner training compliances within the TMS (e.g. course attendance, licences, qualifications, certificates).
- Support stakeholders by providing reports, systems access, and training to aid in resource planning and rostering activities.
- Develop online courses in collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
