Salary: $84,794 – $93,020 per annum
Duties:The Maintenance Planner will work in a small team which provides maintenance planning for the AAD’s research station infrastructure. The team is supported by ICT specialists and works closely with head office trade supervisors, engineers and project personnel, and with maintenance staff in Antarctica.
The Maintenance Planner works according to direction from the Maintenance Planning Coordinator to:
- Administration of work lists and task details across various trade disciplines.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the asset register within the AAD’s Maximo computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Updating planned maintenance strategies in terms of task, frequency and risk to optimise use of labour and materials.
- Supporting training delivery for maintenance staff.
- Assisting in the development of job instructions and safety procedures for planned maintenance tasks.
- Developing recommended spare parts listings for assets and equipment.
- Contribute to new maintenance initiatives to improve availability, reliability and cost effectiveness of station operations.
