Salary: $84,794 – $93,020 per annum

Duties:
  • Undertake procurement in accordance with the Australian Government’s Resource Management Framework, the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (2021) and associated Departmental policies.
  • Effectively engage and negotiate with contractors and suppliers on behalf of the AAD’s Supply Chain Operations section for the provision of a diverse range of goods and services, ensuring value for money for the Australian Government.
  • Apply sound judgement and organisational capability in the planning and effective administration of a range of procurement and contract activities.
  • Providing specific procurement advice and guidance to the Supply Chain Operations management team and staff around procurement policy, procedural and contractual requirements.
  • Leading engagement with the AAD’s Procurement Unit in relation to the administration of more complex and/or higher-value Supply Chain Operation procurement activities.
  • Supporting the wider section in general seasonal procurement and sustainment activities.
  • Advising the Supply Chain Operations management team of any incidents, risks or issues related to the provision of contracted goods or services.
  • Actively contributing to the oversight of safe working environments at all AAD facilities.
  • Working effectively, efficiently and cooperatively within an operationally focused environment as a member of the multi-disciplinary Supply Chain Operations team.
  • Participating in or leading other supply chain operational activities as required.
